RAINBOW - GOD'S PROMISE TO NOAH

Rainbow - GOD'S Token of His Covenant

The first rainbow holds deep significance in the Bible as a symbol of God's covenant with humanity after the great flood. Following the destruction brought by the flood, God promised Noah that He would never again destroy all life on earth by water. The rainbow was given as a sign of this everlasting covenant—a visible reminder of God's mercy and faithfulness.

Biblical Passage (Genesis 9:12–15, KJV):

“And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.”

This promise marks a turning point in the biblical narrative, shifting from judgment to grace. The rainbow continues to serve as a powerful symbol of hope, divine mercy, and God's unchanging promises to mankind.
