Tribute to the Brave – June 6, 1944
On June 6, 1944—D-Day—brave souls stormed the beaches of Normandy to turn the tide of tyranny. Among them were thousands of Canadians, fighting with courage on Juno Beach. That day, 359 Canadians gave their lives so that others might live in freedom. Their sacrifice helped liberate a continent and remains etched in the heart of a grateful nation. We remember them with honour.
