While this is in the USA the problem of the government wanting to control the 'news' in order to control the way the public thinks is rampant in Canada. Massive payouts (bribes) the Trudeau government gives to Canadian media insures only his narrative makes the six o'clock news.
In Canada if you have any hope of knowing the truth you have no choice but to go online and find legitimate alternative news sources.
