While clearing out a drawer I came across a Bulletin newspaper dated April 1995 and the story and the heading could have been printed just yesterday.
In spite of all the government talking points about overworked staff and overloaded hospitals being due to the pandemic this is clearly not a problem that just cropped up because of the virus. While it might be convenient for the government of the day to blame Covid for the troubles it is obvious that our healthcare system has been missing expectations for decades.
