Conflict of Interest

 in $900 million contract

Being investigated for conflict of interest

As reported in the Globe and Mail:

The federal ethics and conflict of interest commissioner is launching an investigation into Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, following conflict of interest accusations tied to the Liberal government’s now cancelled contract with WE Charity.

News of the ethics investigation, the third into the conduct of the Prime Minister, came hours after the Liberals announced the deal to outsource a $900-million student volunteer program to WE Charity had been cancelled.

“We can confirm this matter will be proceeding,” said a statement from Commissioner Mario Dion’s office. The NDP and Conservatives had both requested the matter be investigated.
